Overview

Join in with others to enjoy a fantastic taste of sailing on fabulous Broken Bay. Explore the delights of the Brisbane Waters and Hawkesbury River only 1.5 hrs north of Sydney. We depart from Hardys Bay - a sleepy bayside village surrounded by national parks and secluded beaches.

Your sailing experience will include 3 hours of sailing with an experienced and friendly skipper as well as a gourmet cheese platter. Please feel free to bring along something to drink.

Sit back and relax or take the helm and man the sails, as your skipper guides you to some of the most scenic bays and inlets on the NSW coast. A novice or old salty this sailing experience will have the wind in your hair , salt on your skin and you salivating for more!

Departing from Hardys Bay your skipper will navigate you safely past half tide rocks and out onto Broken Bay past secluded Lobster Beach and romantic Iron Ladder stopping for a swim from the transom if you wish.

Enjoy a taste of Blue Water sailing before heading around Lion Island a protected fairy penguin rookery before touching on the opening to the Hawkesbury River. You will then sail your way back into the channel before heading back into Hardys Bay.

This sailing experience is also great for those wanting a few tips on sailing tuition or wanting to get a few hours under their belt for 'skipper yourself' charters.

Prices are per person please feel free to bring along your favourite beverage and enjoy a complimentary gourmet cheese platter.

Location

Killcare (Central Coast - New South Wales)

Hardys Bay is approximately 1.5hrs north of Sydney at the southern end of the Central Coast region of NSW. The sailing activity takes place on the Brisbane Waters, Broken Bay and the Hawkesbury River or Pittwater depending on conditions.

Exact meeting point and supplier's details are provided immediately after booking.

Numbers

Prices are per person however group bookings are encouraged. A maximum group size per yacht is 10. Group sizes vary but usually range between 4 - 8 passengers.

Session Time

Departures time will vary depending on the tide. Please check your confirmation email for departure times. The 3 hrs on board includes some motoring through the channel. Blue Water sailing on Broken Bay is flexible depending on customer preference for swimming etc.

Guidelines & Restrictions

No sailing experience is necessary however reasonable levels of manouverability are required for passengers to make their way safely around on deck and below deck. We suggest comfortable casual clothing. Shoes must be non-marking (no black soles).

Our skippers are qualified Coxswains. Sailing experiences may be postponed due to unfavourable weather conditions. The hirer acknowledges that the act of sailing may carry with it certain dangers and that the supplier will not be liable for any personal injury or damages to property suffered.
