Overview
For Uluru, this is the most comprehensive tour that provides an opportunity to best understand the natural and cultural significance of Uluru. The tour commences prior to sunrise and places you in the most grand and deeply moving places of Uluru.
During this 13 km amble, our guides will introduce you to the geology of Uluru and describe how plants and wildlife have adapted and survived in such a forbidding environment. But most fascinating is the relationship of the Anangu people to Uluru. This place was shelter, provided water and is a tangible link with their creation ancestors. As you walk around the base you will hear and see the creation time stories of these ancient people unfold. See where the people lived and carried out ceremonies. Here, the beliefs of the people are embodied in one of the great places of this world. From a distance Uluru is spectacular; from close up it is powerful and deeply moving. 5.5 hour guided walking tour around
the base of Uluru including sunrise and picnic breakfast. A reasonable level of fitness is required.
A vehicle-based version of the Uluru Walk is also available. It is 4 hour guided and vehicle based tour around Uluru with short walks.
The final stop is the Uluru and Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Tour departs from all resort accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort.

Tour operates daily. Small group touring. Minimum numbers are 2 and maximum numbers are 21 people.
Session Time
A 5.5 hour expert guided walk.
Guidelines & Restrictions
Reasonable level of fitness required. Tour starts one hour before sunrise. Exact time will be confirmed with booking. Please wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring sun protection.
Guides are tertiary qualified, mostly in a science stream and very passionate about the environment and the natural and cultural heritage.
Tour does not include Park Entry Ticket.
